Greek Islands: Mykonos & Santorini
September 20 - 27, 2010

Relax on two of the most famous of the Cyclades Islands: Mykonos and Santorini. End your tour in Athens the heart of Greece and the home of its most recognized monuments.
We start our tour in Mykonos. The island is part of the Aegean group of islands called Cyclades. The capital of the island, Hora or Mykonos Town is particularly charming and considered as one of the most beautiful little cities of the Cyclades. It is representative of the island’s architecture which is typically Cycladic with whitewashed cubic houses with flat roofs, blue doors and windows, narrow paved streets, flowered balconies and a picturesque and magical atmosphere. We spend our first three nights on Mykonos before moving to our next island, Santorini.
The next three nights are spent on the island of Santorini. Relaz and enjoy the sun and the beaches. The island of Santorini, in fact, is considered to be one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands and it has many beaches. The most famous are Perissa, Kamari and the Red Beach.Around 1500 BC, the volcano of Santorini Island exploded and the eruption was so strong that the center of the island sank and took the shape that can be seen today. The last eruption on the island took place in 1956 and it is still active today. The traditional villages are like most of the villages of the Cyclades with the difference that they are perched on the top of impressive cliffs. They offer incredible views over the volcano, the sunset and Thirassia.

The last day is dedicated to Athens, with a visit to the Acropolis and a special evening with Greek food, wine and dancing.
