A dignified queen of the Cote d'Azur, Nice, France's second-largest city, certainly has plenty to offer. This area of France is filled with wonderful hilltop perched villages: St. Paul de Vence, Grasse, Eze, upscale resort cities: Antibes, Cannes, Saint Tropez and an independent principality: Montecarlo. Visit them easily on day-trips from Nice.
